posting here too.....

I remembered to get pictures in the daylight - well dusk - so that we could take them outside this year - much better than in the house by the wall like every other year!

Hailee's makeup did not last - she kept touching her hair, which made her fingers black, then touched her face which, yes, made her white face black - next year I'm wrapping her in crepe paper and calling her a mummy!! LOL

Braden did good not touching his "stache" but he kept pushing on the pistols so his belt was around his waist really low and he had trouble keeping the guns on the side LOL it was a constant battle but we made it through -

after 45 minutes Braden decided he had enough candy and just wanted to go home - too bad we had 15 more minutes of walking to get back to the car :)

Arby's on the way home made for a quick dinner before baths and bed - we all had fun but I'm glad it's over so we can move on to Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

4 Months Old!!

I always try to get pictures of us together but sometimes it can turn into an ordeal! lol :)

I love this picture of him! He smiles all of the time now!

Peter is drooling like crazy so I thought this picture gives you a great snapshot of it! lol :)

Peter always looked starstruck in half of the pictures because he gets very bewildered by the flash on my camera. lol It's really funny!

It looks like he is wondering why I keep on taking pictures of him. lol

We thought this was hilarious! Last night Peter kept on reaching for Neil's hat so neil brought him up to it and he started chewing on the bill of the hat. You can tell the little guy is getting ready for some teeth to come in!

a couple things to share

first - I made this the other day for one of my design team projects - Sigrid's dress was perfect for the papers!!! Thank you, Signe, for the pink binding!!!!


second - my anniversary is next month but Braden has a school performance next week - so Darren bought my gift early - here's my first attempt at using it!

Peter Can Laugh!

He's been talking up a storm, making all sorts of noise and expressing himself around every corner. Today, though, was different. He laughed! and we caught it on video for your entertaiment.

Peter's 3 Months Old!!

The other day was Peter’s 3 month birthday!! I cannot believe that 3 months have already gone by since he was born. He is now able to life his head with ease and treis as hard as he can to roll over which he has done a couple of times but is still not a pro at it! Some of his favorite times are bath time, tummy time, and getting his diaper changed (he always has the largest grins when I change his diaper for some reason! Lol ). He also loves to look at my face when I read books to him! I think he likes watching my mouth move more than the changing pictures in the book! Lol :)

Here are some pictures I have been taking, I have them go in order from youngest to oldest. I think you can actually tell the progression. From him going bald till now! I still find it difficult to catch his smiles with the camera thus not many smile pictures yet! The most recent ones at the end of the picture stream I took today! Enjoy! :)

A new shirt

Hailee said this shirt is her favorite and couldn't wait to wear it to school! She says it's cold in her classroom so longer sleeves are good - she even takes a sweatshirt. (last week, during our excessive heat wave, she wore a LONG SLEEVE BLACK SHIRT!!!)


so THANK YOU grandma and grandpa!!!! she was so excited when she saw the shirt clean and hung up so that she could wear it!



oh, and Braden says hi, too!

Peter Pics!

Finally, without further delay, we give you…Peter Bjorn Jackson! In the span of the first week home he grew one inch and gained over an ounce a day (10oz. in one week!). Jennifer and I guessed as much, because the little vampire was sucking the life out of her. He has continued to grow and a week ago he moved into his 3 month clothing. Now at 20 days old, he has out grown his 3 month clothing in length! Crazy! He cry’s very little with the exception of hunger or fear. Most of the time he coos, grunts and yells. That’s my boy! Jennifer will tell you more in another post.

AHEM!

There is a new baby in this world and by golly I think this blog deserves a post about him! Dad, I know Neil & Jen are probably spinning circles around all that is new, so if you could post some GOOD pictures here - and ask them if I can post one on facebook (gotta brag about my new nephew!) I would appreciate it!

mom and dad created a monster!

Hailee is painting almost daily - this one took her 2 days because she had to let colors dry before adding more. Now she's working on a volcano and will try to finish it tomorrow. I'll be sure to share when that one is done.

She is really loving the art of watercolor. Thank you for getting her started. Darren and I are amazed at how different her images look compared to coloring with crayons or pens.

we had a nice but short visit with mom & dad. We really wish they could've stayed longer but the plane tickets said they couldn't.

the kids are already missing them terribly and we can't wait until plans are made for them to come back and see us!

Our truck will be pulling into Lacey, Washington,
sometime early in July!
Parker has been hired as
the Assistant Director for Residence Life & Housing
at St. Martin's University in Lacey.
Gorgeous campus by the way!

We've got a lot to pack and load before then...yikes!
But, we are SOOO excited to be coming home!

Job!

I just finished my second week as a marketing professional at a technology company in Bellevue, WA. Yep, I am now employed since May 17th and Jennifer and I are ecstatic. It took me almost exactly two months, March 19-May17, and a lot of worry and lots more tears. Last weekend I went and got a new pair of jeans and a “brief case” for work as a Birthday/Graduation gift. It actualy a messenger bag for urban bike messangers.

The commute sucks from Mill Creek, so we are moving soon. We are also moving because its hard to live with mom and dad when your married with a baby on the way. We recently applied for a home loan and are looking for condos in the Redmond area. Redmond will allow me to bike or bus to work easily (to get a few laughs I asked for a bigger cubicle so I can store my bike) . Also, the church we are in the membership process for, and the gym we are joining are literally right next door to my work in Bellevue. Its great how providence works.
On to more exciting news, Jennifer was full term as of Thursday! Little Peter is going to be here any day now! Love you all, Neil

saturday, rest day

our lives have been hectic lately, and I am close to burnout. so, today, I invited a friend over and we sewed - for 6 hours. it felt great - I didn't want to stop! but alas, back to the grindstone! in the meantime, here is what I accomplished today:




This is a project I started almost 4 years ago by cutting all the strips. Today, I cut those all up and put it together - this is just the top, but it's done! Now, pinning front, batting, and back, quilting, and binding is next. Then, to decide what to do with it :)
