Hello Everyone!!
I am now 25 weeks along and I am definitely getting ready for this baby boy to come!! We are so excited! All I want to do is hold him! I think the hardest part of the pregnancy recently has been sleeping. I go to bed tired and sit there tossing and turning. This has been going on for the past week and a half but luckily last night I was able to get a fairly decent amount of sleep. Be praying that I am able to continue with this trend of sleep. I have tried pillows, a warm bath, and reading before bed but nothing has seemed to work.......What have all of you other moms done to be able to sleep through the night?
The baby is now the size of an eggplant! I can feel him kicking around and doing somersaults all the time! It is so strange to feel him adjust when I roll onto my other side in bed! lol I believe that I felt him hiccuping the other day but I am not quite sure.
And now here are my week 25 bump pictures. I wore the same outfit so that you could compare from the last time. I definitely feel bigger and I think I look a little bigger as well. What do you think? I am still waiting for my belly button to pop! I have a very deep innie so I don't think it will be for a while. When did your belly buttons pop?

sleep. hmmm.....I think your sleep-filled nights are coming to an end, my dear! It's so hard because of your belly, then the baby moving, then the bathroom breaks, then the baby is here and all new things interrupt your night! I always thought of it as a way to ease you into motherhood! lol you can try propping yourself up a bit so that you can breathe easier, that may help. or maybe you'll get so tired at some point you'll just sleep and sleep and be so grateful for it! does the little "eggplant" have a name now? I think your button will take time to pop because you started out so little - mine popped late with Hailee but it seemed about 30 weeks with Braden - but then that child was huge! isn't is so fun to feel him moving and having the hiccups? it was my favorite part!!!
ReplyDeletehope you get some sleep soon - just nap whenever possible! hugs and love to you guys - miss you!!!!
After a while I was sleeping half the night in bed, and then moving to the couch - alternating seemed to be the only thing that would help even out the pressure. I've had some friends put pillows under their bellies, but I managed with one - or two at the end - between my legs, and 2 under my head. Even still, I would need a change after a while, and sometimes I would lay on my back on the couch and prop my legs way up! But only do that if you don't feel your heart accelerating - i didn't seem to have issues with that!
ReplyDeletefor sigrid, her hiccups felt like little twitches - faster than I would expect, but regular. is that what he feels like? she used to flip and flop too, and i loved it!
and my belly button never did pop - some don't. i had never thought about how deep mine was to begin with, but probably most of it had to do with having a long torso, and therefore lots of space for her to grow!
you look awesome! I can't wait to meet him! Just enjoy every second - and do lots of special things together - it'll be a while before he doesn't dominate your schedule once he's born!
looks like at the very least we'll be able to visit in late June - so we'll look forward to meeting your little Eggplant!
Love you!
